Ricardo Sanz, PhD, Scientist
At Arkuda, Ricardo works on understanding the molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative disease and identifying potential drug development strategies. His passion for neuroscience began when he started his PhD program in cell biology. Inspired by his neuroscience class, he focused his thesis work on understanding how the brain is wired during development and how to preserve its architecture with age. His drive to re-establish and preserve proper brain function in patients with neurodegenerative disease eventually led him to Arkuda.
Ricardo received his PhD from McGill University and conducted postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School. At Harvard he sought to elucidate the mechanisms of synucleinopathies, and upon completion of his postdoc he transitioned to industry.Back
